The press and public relations team is the Minden-Lübbecke police's first point of contact for all inquiries from print, online, radio and TV editors.
The press work includes, among other things
- Providing or forwarding news and assessments of police events by issuing press releases
- Responding to media enquiries
- Conducting press conferences, press briefings and press appointments
- Delivery of statements and interviews
- Supporting, assisting and, if necessary, accompanying media representatives with current reporting
- Evaluation of media publications
The main tasks of police public relations include
- Representation of the authority
- Organizational support for police topics as authority projects and support for prevention and inspection campaigns
- Internal public relations work by providing information to staff
- Maintaining the internal police information platform "Intrapol" and the Internet
- Guided tours for visitor groups
